#2 Prompt: A poem about when your life was a train wreck.
(Image from the Internet)
Broken Pinata
Pinata breaks
Contents scattered
Across the floor
Burned and kept
In hopes of good luck
Blindfolded
Alone
Traveled West
Walked the
Handrail of the
Rio Grand Gorge Bridge
Balanced the ashes
Took a deep breath
One foot in front of the other
intersting where you take this after the image of the broken pinata…to the grand canyon…the ashes…it has a feel of letting go…..
Brian “truth is stranger than fiction.” Thanks for your comment.
lovely Annell,
balanced the ashes, burned for good luck
thank you…bkm
Sometimes one foot in front of the other is all we can do!
Whew! I agree with Mary, sometimes the only way. Like the juxtaposition of the broken piñata and the storyteller. Wonderful flow Annell,
Elizabeth
