HOT WINDS BLOW
The morning cool
Temperature just right
As the day travels
The temperature rises
Hot winds blow
Within the dwelling
The sound of voices rise
Anger flies from the windows
The temperature rises
Hot winds blow
Your eyes aflame
Hot under the collar
Point your finger
Just for emphasis
The temperature rises
Hot winds blow
Remove your clothes
Nothing touches your skin
Sweat runs down your belly
The temperature rises
Hot winds blow
The sun sets
End of day
Twilight in the desert
The Temperature drops
Hot winds sleep
Cool winds take over

Note: The prompt was “unhappy refrain.”
How wonderful, when evening comes, and cool breezes blow.
Yes, it is amazing!!

This is beautiful! It’s almost as nature is aware of feelings stirring within us 🙂
Thank you Sanaarizvi.

I like the repetition in this and how at the end of the day, cool winds blow and erase the heat the anger. Excellent.
Thank you Miss Toni, yes, the heat of the day and the anger.

When hot winds blow, one does long for reprieve in a peaceful cool place.
Thank you Kerry. It is interesting how we put together “cool and peaceful,” and maybe the hot winds bring anger?
>
Thank goodness for the cool breeze of evening. There seems to be way too much angry heat these days.

The Temperature drops
Hot winds sleep
Cool winds take over
Peace and happiness takes over finally (after having gone through the trying moments)

And when the night has come
Put the clothes back on
All are happy that they survived
Happy and dry
Smelling good
Thankful and just in
Time for
Sleep
That was my interpretation, sadness and discomfort should not last, all should have a happy ending. Thank you for the nice read.

Why, aren’t you the little” fairy-teller of tales,” sadly, in life, not all tales have a happy ending. Perhaps, the image of the wheel is best, happiness doesn’t last, and neither does sadness…each in its own time. One after the other, cycles. Love you response to my poem. Come back soon.
