Sun Rises above Taos Mountain
Silent Saturday Morning
Fire in the hearth
Stone cold
Time to repent
Say I’m sorry
For your loss
For my own
Or
Wrapped in pride
Fail to see the wrong
Unless I awake
Open my eyes
Life waits in hiding
Hard to find
The lost needle
In the hay stack
No belonging to the
Unbroken thread
Beauty surrounds
Sun rises
Over Taos Mountain
One intent or bust
Somethings of value
Cannot be pawned
Stolen, hoarded, or touched
Beautiful, Annell.
Such beautiful imagery. Yes, some things of beauty (like love) just are… and we can only remain in awe of it.
Lovely, lovely imagery.
Such a beautiful early morning poem, Annell. The beauty of Taos Mountain colors it peaceful. A poem of reverie in beautiful surroundings. Lovely.
The empty fireplace is so meaningful and leads us full circle to the end image..it is not perhaps what is in the fire place that counts but the warmth it gave..hopefully that’s remembered and rekindled..just like the sun rising every day.. x
This poem moves from inside to out and back again. Like how you use the outer visuals to underscore the internal meanings. And really like that photo,

So true that some things of beauty cannot be pawned, stolen, hoarded, or touched. What a beautiful photo, Annell!
I admire your short bursts of imagery!
