Sunday Whirl #66
The Melancholy Painter
Swinging the loaded brush with abandon
Mixing the powdered colors
Rosy red
The blood on which she stands
Pale gold the accumulation of years
The pigment covers the plane
Stray drops spray
As she flings the paint
Erotically touching
The tips of green grass
The picture in her mind’s eye
Emerges
Image from the internet.

The Mag #127
The Letter
The shadow of your dark image
Crosses before me
The message you have brought
Is BIG
Meaningful
Powerful
You speak to me as only you can
I reach into the dark
Touch your extended fingers
Know you are there
Without fear
I continue the journey
Without map
Strain to see the “way”
Yet you have told me
You are with me
I am not alone
Oh to harness that ‘energy’ and make the images trigger emotions – this is what you have done. Flung the wordles and energize us all.
Thanks for your visit.

Loved both of these. They both have that deep sadness and yet, the colours in the first are so vibrant, rich. The second one is poignant and, heartfelt. Both have such lovely imagery.
You have read my words perfectly, did the deep sadness come from the title of my first piece? Or was it woven into the piece? Annell Livingston HC 74 Box 21860 El Prado, NM 87529

I like the meaningful message and comfort of the second poem ~

Such a lovely contrast going from the vibrant colors of your first piece to the abstract of the second. I enjoyed both of them, they go so well together.
Thanks for your comment Laurie, I think perhaps it says just where I am…at this moment. Annell Livingston HC 74 Box 21860 El Prado, NM 87529

There is a vivid blend of excitement and sadness in The Melancholy Painter. I find the description of the colors entrancing.
love the reassurance that you are not alone…that def goes a ways in a world we traverse without a map….and i like the sexuality you bring out in the creative moment you capture inthe first annell…
I really like the contrast of the two here, and I like the symbolism of the second.
Very well wordled. I wouldn’t have thought of using a painter but it works so well. I love seeing the different things we all see in the same set of words.
There was a change in pace..from red to black..as if she felt the paint and the marks..putting what’s inside..out..spilling her heart perhaps? jae
We read to know we are not alone…
I love the wordle piece, Annell. Your Mag is powerful. The ending is so strong…. Well done.
There is a fine line of balance between the two pieces, which may say much about the ‘place you are in’. We are never only one dimensional, but carry within us the entire spectrum of all that we have experienced. Definitely like that realization that you are not alone that concludes and somehow bridges the two pieces, Annell. Wonderful work again, my friend,
Elizabeth

The compliments and contrasts here are colored with lovely imagery. Thank you for sharing, Annell.
There is always the feeling that our loved ones are always by our side spiritually. It gives us courage to venture into the unknown. Great thoughts, Annell!

I love the Expressionist use of colors in the art process described, Annell.
You have the artist’s vision and it shows in your poem, Annell. Beautiful.
Pamela
The first poem attracted me and the second one touched me…
Really enjoyed both of them…
I loved both poems, Annell, but the second is especially moving. How lovely.

Also the placing of the sink will enhance the entire look of the
bathroom. Bathrooms are one of the most trafficked spaces
in the home and yet in many households they may be one the most ignored places.
