Naming Constellations http://namingconstellations.wordpress.com/ The prompt was to write a poem about ephemera and write it on paper and leave it somewhere public. Take a picture and post the poem.
The first ‘Remember Me’ I left at the car wash in the rack that holds the ‘what to do in Taos.’
I left this one at the grocery store.
Remember Me
My Grandparents
Strong, loving, laughing
I thought they would always be here
…
My Parents
The same
And you…
Solid… touchstone
Now…
I am slowly fading
Tomorrow I will be gone
Disappeared
Will you remember
…
Oh so moving, and poignant. That is the question we wonder about: Will you remember? Did my being here matter? Beautiful, Annell and what a treat for shoppers to find and ponder…..certainly elevates grocery shopping!
Yes, I thought it was great fun. Perhaps you might to give it a try. I’m going to start doing it…just to leave it somewhere and someone will find it…maybe leave a note on it, or will take it? Found poetry. Thanks Sherry.

I am so glad you found the prompt. It is fun, isn’t it?
Sherry has my word for the poem, ‘poignant,’ but lovely in its poignancy.
