Magpie Tales #93

The Little Red Sofa

Alone on sidewalk

In a town unfamilar

I pulled the red valvet

Close around me

No one to the right

No one left

The street is empty

Shabby and worn

Abandoned

Around three

Shadows creep

On the dirty wall

Behind me

I’ll just wait for you here

Leaving me

Was a mistake

Once a pround possion

Now free for anyone to take

  1. It’s strange how things so wanted become obsolete..behind the sofa was a dream..for more comfort..a fine place to sit..a different view point..I hope it fulfilled its part before it was consigned to the side walk..Jae
