A Stone: One Daily Observation
Yesterday I was trying to do something
It did not work
Today I will try again
___________
We Write Poems: Better Inside Out
Better Inside the Heart
Than Out
Clouds gather
Weather threatens
Better inside
Than out
It is hard to stay
On the narrow path
Step carefully
Conceal footprints
Across snow covered field
The warning came
Unheeded
You left the path
Found your way back
Now all is better
Inside out
Two wonderful observations about life, Annell. LOVE the photos so much!
Sticking to a narrow path is hard..yet leads you some place..I love this photo..you must have been close to the ground when you took it..feeling it beneath you..Jae
Thanks for your comment. The photo was taken just south of Taos, it is actually a dry arroyo, when it rains, water rushes through it. It was all I could find in my photos for a path. Yes, it is hard to stay on a narrow path, no matter our intentions. Annell Livingston HC 74 Box 21860 El Prado, NM 87529

beautiful Annell, much to ponder.
This speaks to me about the idea of staying true to your own spirit, path, and mission in life. The picture with it works well too. Thank you for sharing.

Both so true. Thank you.
Sometimes we make the path narrower than it needs to be. Speaking for me, that is! 🙂
I do think the narrow path yields rewards. One does have to walk carefully, but the rewards are worth it. A thought-provoking read, Annell, as always.
That first one is such a perfect meditation.
