A Stone: One daily observation.
Morning whispers greeting, remembers where I left off yesterday. Invites me to begin again.
Note* I looked out my window the first thing this morning. And thought, it changes so quickly, what is glorious will soon change. I flew from my bed, grabbed the keys, went to studio, got the camera, and took this pic. How grateful I am. My heart is filled from the first moment I awakened. This has to be a wonderful day. And if you share this with me, it will be a wonderful day for you, too.
______________
Theme Thursday
Prompt: Split
Split
I fall forward
My thoughts split
And run on tiny feet
In every direction
Shape shifting along the way
Alone
Perhaps before the end of day
Time of split between light and dark
They will return
Become one
I will know them
Recognize their meaning
As they take their proper place
In the universe
__________
Thursday Think Tank #61 She
She
Soft and warm
Missed and longed for
In cold places
Necessary at birth
Holds the hand of the dying
She is bedrock
Stands alone
Asks for kindness — little more
Howls at the moon
Yours’
Mine
Strong
Still just a woman
Life is not worth
Living without her
Note* The words I speak are true.

Absolutely stunning, Annell! A day with that kind of beginning has to be filled with joy!
Glad you arrived late rather than not at all, as it meant I found your lovely blog. Much enjoying the photos, the small stones, the poems. Hard to single any out, but I particularly like Split, the first I encountered, and accompanying photo and stone too.
Wonderful photo and glorious beginning to the day. Beautiful words throughout Annell, you are a well with waters that never fail to nurture and quench the soul.

really like that second one…the heart shines strong in it for this person…
My eyes flew down to these 2 thursday poems, though I’m supposed to review the one at the top for friday critique.
I was drawn by the beautiful photograph of the sky, which is a living work of art, unable to be fully captured through another medium, but we can enjoy the image. I often look to a wide sky with eyes of wonder…back to the poems.
They are perfect. The last line sums it up.
These words are true.
Bravo
